Living on a septic system or reusing greywater changes what you can safely put down the drain. Here are the questions we're asked most about detergent sheets — with straight answers.
Are Dissolv sheets septic safe?
Yes. Our sheets are fully biodegradable and dissolve completely — no plastic film, no microplastic residue, nothing to accumulate in your tank. The formula is free from optical brighteners and dyes, which are common irritants for septic bacteria. Laundry sheets and dishwasher sheets are both safe for septic and greywater systems.
What about greywater on the garden?
Greywater reuse depends on your whole setup, but the sheet itself leaves no plastic behind and the plant-based surfactant load is low compared with heavily dosed liquid washes. As with any detergent, rotate where greywater lands and keep it off edible leaves.
Do they dissolve in cold water?
Completely — cold, warm or hot, front loader or top loader, including high-efficiency machines. If you wash on cold eco cycles to save power, sheets won't leave flakes the way some powders do.
What's actually in them?
Deionised water, plant-derived anionic and non-ionic surfactants, fabric softener, water softener, coconut oil extracts, soapnut (Sapindus mukorossi) extract, enzymes and fragrance — that's the full laundry sheet ingredients list, also printed on every box. Choose Lavender Bliss or Scent Free.
Are they okay for sensitive skin?
The Scent Free sheets were made exactly for this — no fragrance, no optical brighteners, no dyes. Many customers with eczema-prone kids wash exclusively with them.
How many loads do I really get?
Every sheet is good for up to two loads: half a sheet for a standard ~5kg load, a full sheet for large 8kg+ or heavily soiled loads. A 40-sheet pack covers up to 80 loads. If your household churns through washing, the Family Stock-Up Bundle doubles everything and saves 35%.
